Comer Group Ireland are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our Maintenance Team on a full-time fixed-term basis. This role is responsible for carrying out a wide range of painting and decorating tasks to maintain and enhance the appearance, safety, and condition of our facilities. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, work effectively as part of a team, and contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

. Perform painting, decorating and repair duties across all Comer Group Ireland Owned and Managed properties as assigned.

. To act as a team player and provide assistance to the rest of the Maintenance Team as may be required.

        Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint.

        Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces.

        Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires.

        Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner.

        Preparing the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes.

        Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project.

        Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project.

        Removing fixtures such as doorknobs and light switch covers.

        Taping off areas as needed.

        Responsible use of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms and Scaffold Platforms as necessary.

        Calculating quantities of materials needed to complete jobs.

        Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete.

        Maintain clear and concise communications with the Maintenance and Property teams.

        Assist other departments on busy days and complete any other duties as request by the Maintenance Manager to meet business demands.

        Knowledge and understanding of the company Lone Worker Policy.

• MEWP certificate
• Safe Pass
• Must have an excellent eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational skills
• Prior painting or decorating experience preferred.
