Senior Analyst - Armagh, N. Ireland
Peter Smith is currently recruiting for an Analyst / Senior Analyst to work within the Sciences division of a global contract development and manufacturing organisation company based in Armagh, Northern Ireland, on a full time permanent basis. This client is an established contract development and manufacturing organisation that provides an extensive range of integrated services to over 600 companies globally within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.
Main role:
You will be responsible for carrying out analytical testing according to project requirements. This will include stability testing, and testing to back up chemical development activities. You will also be undertaking release testing in support of in-house projects both GMP and non-GMP, alongside release testing for Clinical Services projects.
You will be involved in writing protocols, methods and reports.
Preferably the suitable candidate will have an excellent understanding of analytical techniques including; HPLC, GC, NMR, IR, UV, MS, and other classical techniques
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Third level qualification in a Life science subject
- Previous analytical experience in Pharmaceuticals, and experience looking at drug substance or drug product analysis within a GMP/GLP environment
DESIRABLE:
· Degree level qualification
· Experience in HPLC method development and validation
· Knowledge of COSHH
