Bid Manager

A leading Tier 1 Construction Group with a major Civil Engineering Division has an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager capable of delivering projects and framework agreements across several key infrastructure sectors.

Based out of their Hillsborough office in Northern Ireland you will work within the Civils/ Infrastructure Division and actively work with a UK wide team responsible for the successful delivery of Bids and projects with leading clients across their Civil Engineering client portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 Contractors renowned for their innovative and professional approach to delivering major Design and Build and Asset Management services across the Construction Industry. As a Group, they work with an ever-increasing portfolio of Clients across both the Public and Private Sectors. Their proven capability to deliver major infrastructure projects has created this exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager to further increase their market share with new and existing clients.

They are looking to attract a Bid Manager capable of taking a lead role in the delivery of major Bids, due to the nature of the projects you must have a strong Technical/Engineering background and a proven track record preparing and presenting high quality Bid documents- which include full commercial costings and take into consideration statuary compliance, in-house capability, resource planning and key stakeholder engagement, all of which will be evaluated as part of the overall tender.

Strong stakeholder management and Project Management skills are also key to successfully delivering a successful Bid and thereafter managing the construction stages

It is essential that you have

A relevant degree within Engineering (Civil) or a related discipline
A good understanding of engineering design principals, construction techniques and the tender process
Experience writing and preparing Proposals and Quality Submissions
Strong Commercial and Project Management experience relating to preparing a Bid
Strong and effective communication skills and the ability to be able to lead and influence within your own Group and with external stakeholders
