This is an exciting opportunity to commence or progress a career in Financial Services by joining our growing operations team in Dublin. The successful candidate will join our newly established and dynamic New Business team supporting the processing of new business pension applications for one of our key clients

Main purpose of role:

To process new business applications within set procedures and following existing processes. Communicating with internal and external parties regarding missing and incomplete application information.

Duties include: 

  • Accurately process new business applications
  • Responsibility to ensure relevant information is passed to appropriate teams or issued in correct manner
  • Ensure correct delivery and retention of appropriate documentation and correspondence
  • Keep up to date with business knowledge to ensure good service to customer, both internal and external
  • Ensure that tasks are completed within any Service Level agreements that apply to department
  • Meet Departmental and Personal Target set by manager
  • Prioritise work appropriately and adjust plans as work situations change
  • Maintain and implement personal development plan in partnership with immediate manager
  • Complete performance management documentation in line with agreed time-scales and in liaison with line manager
  • Deal with customer data ethically and in accordance with FCA requirements
  • Update Excel spreadsheets and record stats if required
  • Identify potential complaints/non-standard work and pass to appropriate area/person
  • Process email received by department if appropriate

Knowledge and Technical Skills:

  • General Organisational and business skills
  • Knowledge of the required departmental systems
  • Good understanding of processes and procedures within relevant Department
  • Awareness of Departments service level agreements for completing admin functions
  • Basic typing and processing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Good understanding of customer’s needs
  • Can receive feedback in constructive manner
  • Open minded approach to suggestions from colleagues and manager
  • Can contribute good working atmosphere within own team and dealing with customers
