Launching in April 2019, our College Biofuels plant in Nobber, Co. Meath is a new and exciting venture for College Group. Our company’s vision is to become carbon neutral. For 30 years, College Group’s rendering facilities have produced high-quality tallow from waste products of the agri-food sectors. College Biofuels will make renewable fuel from this tallow, along with other feedstocks. This will complete the cycle from waste to renewable energy and help to reduce the country’s and company’s carbon emissions.

We are looking for a Production supervisor to join the College Biofuel’s management team to assume control of the daily operations of our renewal energy plant. Reporting to the Biofuel Business Unit Manager, you will be overseeing our production team while the site is operational.


Ensure quality of product meets established guideline and expectations.
Oversee all production schedules implementing recommendations on production flow, equipment improvements, process yields, etc.
Managing personnel issues, including allocation of work duties to personnel, organising shift patterns, performance appraisal process and ongoing training.
Responsible for making quality or processing related decisions on the production floor.
Accountability for safety and focus towards departmental goals.


BSc in Manufacturing, related engineering field
Lean Manufacturing/ Six Sigma experience/ qualification an advantage


3+ years’ experience in production supervisor role (clean manufacturing desired)
Experience of preparing reports / reviews / analysis


Using your industry knowledge, you will add value by casting a critical eye over our operation, spotting opportunities to drive efficiency, control costs and ultimately help us realise our ambition to become a world class Biofuel Plant. You have the ability to influence and lead your team, be able to set clear direction and hold your team accountable for the performance of the site to drive continuous improvement and a high-performance culture.
