Responsibilities

* Administering all aspects of the sales function supporting a team of 9 mobile-based sales staff.

* Responsibility for ensuring all sales data is accurate and processed on a daily basis.

* Providing regular and ad hoc sales reporting to Principals and to the Management team.

* This role also involves reception duties and dealing with I.T. support calls.

* Sales and administrative support for the Van Sales Team

* Direct and General Sales functions

* Reception duties

The person

This role is varied and sits within a busy FMCG environment. This is a pivotal role upon which sales invoicing and reporting heavily relies. An ability to respond and act quickly will be required to ensure problems are resolved without any effect on the business. Good communication skills are essential to ensure all relevant staff, Principals or other stakeholders are appropriately informed. The successful candidate will need to ensure timely and accurate processing of information is constantly maintained. This person will also need to challenge how things are done to ensure the most effective and efficient ways of working are employed.

Experience and qualifications

Minimum

* 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) pass grades to include English and Mathematics

* At least 2 years in a similar role in a fast-paced organisation.

* At least 2 years of experience of using a sales order system.

* At least 4 years of experience using MS Office products i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. This to include knowledge of pivot tables and ability to adapt these.

* Experience using a professional accounting system e.g. Sage, Oracle, Pegasus.

Desirable

* Third level qualification (HND / Degree) in Administration, Sales/Marketing or Finance-related subject.

* Over 2 years of experience in an FMCG environment.

* Supervisory / office management experience.

* Experience of Navision accounting system with warehousing.

* Experience of Jet reporting.

* Intermediate / advanced office experience.
