Capital Project Construction Manager / Process Safety Engineer | Northern Ireland | 2 Year Initially

A leading pharmaceutical organisation are looking for a contract Capital Project Manager / Process Safety Engineer to deliver a Chemical, Safety Critical project at their manufacturing plant in Northern Ireland on an initial 24 month basis.

The core function of the role will be to manage important multi-million pound CAPEX project to support the business ensuring the construction of a safety critical, hazardous & highly regulated facility along with the associated equipment; black / clean utilities (HVAC / Air Con, Purified Water / Water Systems, Compressed Air / Gases, Clean Steam etc.). Ensuring these are completed on budget, time, to cGMP, business and EHS requirements.

Managing all aspects of the capital project, including full complete control & total accountability for the building construction & installation of a chemical plant facility. From design (FEED) to hand over, including supporting CQV activities (Commissioning, Qualification and Validation) assigned as well as building & managing a small project team to complete the duties of the project.

To be considered for this position candidates need to hold a formal Engineering Degree & ideally a Chartered Engineer along wide a project management qualification Prince 2, APMP, PMP etc. Candidates will require to be hands-on although being a desk based role, providing project governance and be able to communicate and report to stakeholder's.

Extensive Chemical / COMAH or Pharmaceutical project design (FEED) experience is required, strong knowledge of process safety, construction and CQV. Delivering a safety critical, multi-million (€11m+) pound chemical / hazardous / COMAH / Nuclear facility would be essential. Individuals would need to have an excellent safety background & qualifications e.g. CDM regulations, NEBOSH etc.

Rates are flexible and dependant on the right individual / skill set and experience. Full funding for the project is approved and requiring someone to start to take ownership asap.

The Project Manager role is based in Northern Ireland, the airport is also a short distance to the site.
