Our client is Ireland’s leading Bio–Waste Management Company. Launching in April 2019, College Biofuels in Nobber, Co. Meath is a new and exciting venture for College Group.
College Group’s vision is to become carbon neutral. For 30 years, College Group’s rendering facilities have produced high-quality tallow from waste products of the agri-food sectors. College Biofuels will make renewable fuel from this tallow, along with other feedstocks. This will complete the cycle from waste to renewable energy and help to reduce the country’s and company’s carbon emissions.
We are looking for a Laboratory – Quality Manager to join the College Biofuel’s management team to assume control of the daily operations of our renewable energy plant. Reporting to the Biofuel Business Unit Manager, you will be overseeing our Laboratory team while the site is operational.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with set–up of new laboratory.
Conduct validation of the methods and processes.
Coordinate daily quality control testing and ensure team members are trained in their job function and implementation of relevant SOPs.
Perform relevant assays on samples to ensure compliance with EN14214, including but not limited to Gas Chromatography and titration assays.
Develop and support quality improvement projects in response to complaints, focusing on key drivers.
Develop, implement and assist technical improvement projects in response to noncompliance’s exposed through audits to support resolution.
Support the internal audit programme and complete audits when required.
Ensure compliance with Department of Agriculture and European Food Safety Authority guidelines for Biodiesel production including EN590 and EN14214.
BSc in an Analytical or Pharmaceutical discipline or related field
3 + years in a Pharmaceutical environment desirable
Experienced user of gas chromatography
Extensive knowledge of auditing, quality standards and systems (LIMS), quality management techniques such as HACCP, Statistical Process Control and knowledge of legal procedures.

You strive to deliver projects on time and within budget. You are an excellent communicator both verbally and written with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to react well under pressure.
