Launching in May 2019, our clients College Biofuels plant in Nobber, Co. Meath is a new and exciting venture.

The company vision is to become carbon neutral. For 30 years, their rendering facilities have produced high-quality tallow from waste products of the agri-food sector. Biofuels’ will make renewable fuel from this tallow, along with other feedstocks. This will complete the cycle from waste to renewable energy and help to reduce the country’s and company’s carbon emissions.

Our client is looking for a Process Operator to join their Biofuels’ team. This position is an integral part of the operation and will work as an essential part of the cross functional team to maximize efficiency and support delivery of key performance indicators. In addition, they play an active role in the achievement of daily performance targets to a required safety and quality standard.

The Process Operator works as part of a shift team and reports to the Production Supervisor.


Operate the production PLC system to control production, monitor performance, gather data and generate reports
Understand the biodiesel production process
Identify, diagnose and report any problems to the production supervisor
Achieve process capacity and KPIs
Make recommendations on improving production efficiency
Hand-over of key information at shift transitions
Sample and deliver products to the lab for QC
Perform general facility maintenance and house-keeping including equipment inspection and preventative maintenance
Ensure all production areas and equipment are maintained in a clean and well-kept manner
Perform the daily requirements and tasks allocated by the Production Supervisor and the Business Unit Manager
Follow all safety guidelines and rules on-site regulated by the HSA and other regulatory authorities


• Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion

• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing

• Excellent computer and analysis skills
