Our client, situated in North County Dublin, is a 27-hole parkland Dublin golf course which is enjoyed by members and visitors alike. The golf club is located about 2km from the centre of the seaside villages of Malahide and Portmarnock. Founded in 1892 this is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland, celebrating their 127th year

Due to continued success they seek to recruit an Office Administrator. The appointee shall report to the General Manager and have a functional reporting line with the Financial Controller on all matters to oversee the smooth running of the office.

Duties Include:

Plan, coordinate, and streamline the administrative procedures of the club while adhering to club policies and practices
Ensure the day to day functions are carried out accurately and efficiently
Develop team member skills
Supervise the workload of the administration team
Ensure all deadlines are met to the Club’s high standards
Implement new processes that continuously improve business practices
Create a positive and safe work environment for all staff, members and guests
Ensure confidentiality in relation to all Club matters
Assist the promotion of the Club through all social media channels including the production of Members’ Newsletter
Come up with inventive ways of improving the member/guest experience
Ensure timely and accurate updating and maintenance of the Club membership system.
Respond in an efficient and friendly manner to members who experience difficulties accessing timesheets, competitions etc
Follow up on outstanding annual subscription payments, in accordance with Club policies
Ensure the performance of the general reception function of the Club in a professional and courteous manner
Ensure the appearance of the office and reception is professional and tidy
Provide secretarial duties, as requested, for the Club officers and the various social groups

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience in a similar role
Very efficient with Microsoft 365
Able to learn to work with new software
Excellent communication skills
Experience in Bookkeeping would be an advantage
Flexible and willing to help out in other areas if needed
Friendly and approachable
