  • Preparation of the accurate and timely payment of all employees ensuring the appropriate statutory deductions are made through the computerised payroll system
  • Administration of the statutory sick pay scheme, statutory maternity pay and statutory paternity pay schemes
  • Maintenance of accurate and timely payment of expenses
  • Administration of a company pension scheme in line with auto enrolment
  • Provision of management information on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Completion of annual payroll returns/P60's
  • Ensure accurate and monthly timely deductions to HMRC, Pension Providers and CSA
  • Maintenance of the Time Management System (TMS) including shift and roster changes, holiday entitlement updates and reports
  • Providing employees with information in regard to payroll queries
  • Administrative duties to include other office/finance administration duties as required


  • Must be educated to at least A Level standard or equivalent
  • Ideally have at least 2 years previous SAGE payroll experience
  • Knowledge of statutory payments and legalities around tax matters would be desirable
  • A relevant payroll qualification is desirable
  • Experience of using TMS software would be an advantage
  • Experience of the administration of the company pension scheme
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to stay calm and work well under pressure under strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and good numerical skills
  • Computer literate especially in excel
  • Ability to work 5 days per week is not essential, we can consider applications from those who are willing to work a minimum of 3 days per week
